Notice of Opening the Salem Housing Preservation 4 and Salem Housing Preservation 9 Waiting Lists

Effective Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 9:00 am until Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 11:59 pm, Salem Housing Authority (SHA) will OPEN the waiting list for the following properties for 3-bedroom units (occupancy of 3-7 people):

 

Salem Housing Preservation 4

Includes Northgate Village and Livingston Village, both in NE Salem

3-Bedroom Units - Townhouse style units, 1.5 bathrooms

 

Salem Housing Preservation 9

Includes Meadowlark Village in SE Salem and Brush College Village in NW Salem

3-Bedroom Units - Townhouse style units, 1.5 bathrooms

 

These properties offer income-based rent through the HUD Multifamily Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) program. Residents pay approximately 30% of their monthly income for rent and utilities at these properties. Assistance is tied to the units and is not transferrable.

 

Eligibility for these units is limited to households earning at or below 60% of the Area Median Income:

Annual Income Limit Per Household Size

3 people - $42,720

4 people - $47,460

5 people - $51,300

6 people - $55,080

7 people - $58,860

The waiting lists for these properties will close Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 11:59 pm. Applications will not be accepted after the waiting lists close.
