Salem Housing Authority will be accepting applications for multiple waiting lists. Below, you will find information for each property, including the annual income limits and how to apply.
Starting at 9:00 a.m. PDT on Saturday, October 26, 2024.
Closing at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2024.
Applicants are placed on the waiting list by the date and time of application. Applications will not be accepted after the waiting lists close on November 17, 2024, at 11:59 pm.

Property: Englewood East Small Building (Disabled Households Only)
Operated by the Salem Housing Authority
Waiting list for 1-bedroom (1-3 people), and 2-bedroom (2-5 people) units. Disabled households only (head of household, spouse, or co-head must be a person with a disabling condition).
This property offers rental assistance from the HUD 202/8 Program. Tenant rent is approximately 30% of monthly income.
Income limit: 50% Area Median Income, as established by HUD.
Property: Brush College and Meadowlark Village – (Salem Housing Preservation 9%)

Waiting list for 1-bedroom (1-3 people) and 4-bedroom (4-9 people) units. This project includes units with mobility accessibility features. Accessible units are offered first to applicants with a verified need for these features.
This property offers rental assistance from the HUD Project-Based Rental Assistance (PBRA) Program. Tenant rent is approximately 30% of monthly income.
Income limit: 40% - 60% Area Median Income, as established by HUD.
Property: Livingston and Northgate Village – (Salem Housing Preservation 4%)

These units will offer income-based rent through the Section 8 Project-Based Voucher program. Residents pay approximately 30% of their monthly income for rent and utilities.Income limit: at or below 50% Area Median Income, as established by HUD.
Property: Mahonia Crossing PBV
Operated by Mahonia Crossing, with rental assistance from Salem Housing Authority
Waiting List for 1-bedroom units for elderly households (head, spouse, cohead is age 62+).
These units at Mahonia Crossing will offer income-based rent through the Section 8 Project-Based Voucher program. Residents pay approximately 30% of their monthly income for rent and utilities at these properties. Assistance is tied to the units and is not transferrable.This waiting list offers a local preference to homeless households referred through Coordinated Entry.
Income limit: 50% Area Median Income, as established by HUD.
